Tourney Game 2:

Tonight IBEW took the field against DQ Grill and Chill. Great pitching from Owen, Joey, and Josiah......and check out all of the amazing stops from Brayden.

Terrific hitting was shown by many players! Gabe slammed the ball and scored a base hit! Carlee also struck the ball with a great hit landing her on first.

Some of the most amazing stops and quick plays came from third base: PARKER!

Carlee saved the other team from many scores when she stopped a hard hit to outfield, gained possession, and threw it in to keep IBEW in the lead!

Tourney Game 1:

Tuesday, 7:15 pm, IBEW 125 took the field to play KAYB #4 team. They battled, but in the end, walked away with a loss.

Let the TOURNAMENT begin...........

The season is over and the team did a great job at battling from last place to 9th!! Great job players! All players made a dramatic improvement from the first time they stepped on the field this year. They have put so much effort into improving their game and deserve a CONGRATULATIONS for a wonderful season.

Lastly for this season, we must thank our coaches for not only giving so much of their time, but to spending countless hours teaching our children how to be better players on and off of the field.

IBEW vs. Fowler....

It's another win for the boys and a "girl"! There is so much to say about tonight.....the team played some amazing ball tonight! Owen "O" started the team off tonight with some exceptional pitching! The teamwork between "O" and Brayden "Bray" was amazing. Owen, first up to bat, slammed one to the outfield. Owen was not alone with some great hitting.

Joey played AWESOME!! He led his team pitching and had an awesome hit!!

Zac V. was named the all star, MVP of the game for scoring the run that WON the game!! Great job Zac.

Zach H. pitched a great last inning and hit a ball that caused the winning runs.

Ryan, aka - "Rhino", Zac V, and Cody showed they could be prepared for anything as they ran the bases, playing smart on pop flys, but running their hearts out to win the game!!

Great job team.....now it's time for homework, good night's sleep, school, and then MORE BASEBALL!!

IBEW vs. Casa Mia

And.....it's another WIN!! IBEW 125 takes the field for another win.....but most importantly, they played their little hearts out :)

Zach H and Josiah pitched some great fast balls right over the plate! Ryan caught long ball from home plate to third base where he was oh so close, to getting a Casa Mia player out. Great smack by Joey, which gave him a double and "2" RBI's. Wonderful hit by Cody, but his hussle to first base was even better! Nothing was more fun then watching Cody jump up from first base with both arms in the air because he knew he was SAFE! Gabe stopped a slam of a hit by Casa Mia and got it right to first base. Owen made some AWESOME catches at second base!! Parker got himself stuck in a little pickle and proved he could make it to SAFETY, and he did....

There were soooo many more plays completed this game that showed how well these boys are doing and what great teachers they have in Lance and Tom!!

5/5/09: IBEW vs. Sleep City

What a rallie among IBEW and Sleep City tonight! After going back and forth on the score board, the boys and "a girl", it ended with a TIE.....

Great job boys!

Darn Rain......

It is looking like IBEW is not supposed to play Tyson Foods once again. What a rainy day this one started out to be and as I look out the windows now at 2:30 pm, the sun is shining, not an overcast cloud in the sky and dry as dry can be!

IBEW was scheduled to play Tyson Foods last Tuesday at 7:15pm. Due to the pouring down rain, the game was cancelled. It was rescheduled for today at 12:30 pm, but the rain once again caused a cancellation!!

The boys walked to the cars, heads down with discouragement, but will be ready to take on Tyson Foods in the near future!!!

Game Day 4-14-09

The best final score yet!! The kids played spectacular tonight. They are improving on hitting, listening on when to steal bases, pitching, and we have a couple of great catchers on the team. IBEW 125 is learning the game of baseball and it shows. Thanks to coach Lance, Tom, and other helpful parents :)

Game Day 4-9-09.........

Tonight was a tough, holding game on the Minor Field playing "Fowler". The first two innings started rough. Fowler's first pitcher threw some fireballs in the strike zone and we struggled at bat. It did not take long for IBEW to take hold of the game and put a stop to the overwhelming score board.

Joey, Owen, and Levi pitched a fantastic game! Owen was tagged in the leg with hit ball, but he beared through it and still got the ball to first base. After a little TLC from Coach Lance and his catcher, he shook it off and pitched on! Now that is one tough kid!

Zach H and Brayden did a great job catching and stopping Fowler from stealing soooo many bases.....great job to Zach H for tagging out a steal at home base.

Overall, tonight you could see IBEW making improvements and growing in the sport of baseball!!

Until we meet again at practice Monday!!

"Under the Lights" on Game Day 4-7-09

The boys took the Softball fields at Lawrence Scott Park tonight. This was their first late night game, beginning at 7:15 pm and ending at 9:15 pm. The big joke in our family was that we would have to leave early to make sure we made it to bedtime.....poor Zach H. begged his parents to not embarrass him....

A great hit was made by our one and only girl.....Carlee!! Great work out there today. Carlee, if you remember took a ball to the eye early in the season and has proven all the odds of being shy at bat WRONG. She smacked the ball tonight!! Also hitting tonight was Owen, Zach H, and Parker. Most of the team had a "great eye" at bat and therefore did not get the chance to hit, but took a base proudly as they were WALKED!!

Zach H pitched a ball to his batter that was struck right to him.....in his glove that is!! Owen made the best catch of the game when the batter fired the ball directly to him at short stop.....and he caught it, causing an OUT!! Great job out there Owen!

All of the boys and Carlee played exceptional tonight!! Great Job!

Game Day 3-27-09

IBEW walked on the Rookie field with the attitude to play ball tonight! The MVP today went out to Gabe, our newest member, who went above and beyond and played for the other team since they were short a player.....GREAT work Gabe to take one for the team!!

It's Game Day!!

Well boys and "1 girl".....let's get ready to rumble....and play some ball! Tonight we will be celebrating Zach H.'s birthday with cupcakes (post game of course...). I am asking for a volunteer who is good at narrating the game to complete a small paragraph summary for each game. PLEEEEEEASE I am begging you!! Game 3/24/09

IBEW 125 gave it there all out there at tonight's 3/24/09 game....There were some slammin' good hits way out to outfield. Even though the final score was not in our favor, the boys and a "girl" heart were totally in it!

We cannot forget to include our cheerleader for the game.....
